Ebru is believed to have originated in Central Asia around the 10th century and brought west along the Silk Road. Köse has successfully given the old art form a contemporary spin using modern techniques and the result has been a mesmerizing collection of marble prints entitled “Entity”. According to her, each match is born out of a pattern and is a cell that point to all the secrets of life. For this reason, it creates more textures and weaves that transform and spread within one another. It looks for a unique language of communication with the matches it creates.
About ‘Entity’, she explains “I found my own entity in places where I could bend time. I found it during high intensity training. When my breathing was not enough, I went out to look for it in short periods. I was born to a sportive family with an artist spirit. I have been active in all areas of dance and sports for over fifteen years. I’ve always been searching for art concurrently. My artworks called ‘entity’ are the original expression of my awareness of NLP and Turkish Art of Marbling studies in recent years. Now I see myself as a transporter. I intend to express my gaps which look for into the high-tempo movements. I visualize them in my Turkish paper art of marbling studies by reviving the consciousness of consciousness on the water; I experience it once more.I resize every breath I found.”
