Featured Artist: New Artwork Additions by Helen Hollemans

I take my inspiration from the shadows, depth, light, colour and line of the craggy Andalucían landscape, tranquil sea and endless blue skies, deconstructing my impressions and scattering them on the paper to create abstract landscapes. The vivid colours and contrasts are constantly changing and create such tranquility and wonder as I watch the amazing natural displays and capture the transitions in these paintings. In order to express the merging and textures I see, I use a technique of dragging the paint down the page which gives the effect I am seeking, living ridges and shapes the viewer can continue to enjoy discovering.
