For our latest round of gallery picks, we have a handful of fantastic new ones dedicated to some pretty legendary artists and illustrators as well as an exploration via photography of an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site – each of which we recommend for streaming in May >>
- Frederic Remington
- Artemisia Gentileschi
- Franz Marc
- Moriz Jung
Celebrated for his depictions of cowboys, American Indians and the Western USA of the late 19th century, we now have a gallery dedicated to Frederic Remington (1861-1909), the prolific American artist largely responsible for creating the popular image of the American Old West as we know it today. We also have a new collection comprised of the most famous works by Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-1656), an acclaimed Baroque painter with ties to Caravaggio and considered one of the most successful artists of her time despite the abuse and oppression she faced as a female artist in 17th-century Italy. Another welcome addition to our modern art repertoire is a Franz Marc (1880-1916) gallery which features some of this famed Expressionist’s most colorful paintings characterized by mostly animals composed of rich geometric shapes and deep spiritual symbolism. Sticking to the theme of “vibrant”, for a dazzling collection of technicolor illustrations from the Vienna Succession era, stream our new gallery dedicated to Czech artist Moriz Jung (1885-1915). And finally, travel lovers and architecture aficionados will love our new gallery Alhambra, an optic journey through the elegant façades and architectural features of Alhambra, the world-famous palace complex located in Granada, Spain.
