NEWS: Now Streaming, January 2021

Goodbye 2020, HELLO 2021. We are all thrilled to welcome the new year – and even more thrilled to announce that with this new year comes Artcast on new platforms!

We will be making a more detailed announcement about it very soon, but last week we officially launched the Artcast app for Samsung TV and are in the process of relaunching the Android app for Chromecast and Chromecast for Google TV. It’s been a long process and we are still ironing out some final (and usual)  technical issues associated with launching on a new platform, but overall, we’ve been receiving wonderful feedback from our Samsung customers and we are delighted to bring amazing art to a whole new group of consumers more seamlessly in the year ahead.

As for new galleries, of those we also have plenty and more on their way to being released soon. We’ve made a selection of some of our favorites that have arrived over the past month and what we suggest for streaming in January >>

  • Dancers of Degas
  • Jan Toorop
  • Utamaro Kitagawa
  • Cornelis Norbertus Gijsbrechts
  • Mary Cassatt

All found in the Classical Art category, the first is Dancers of Degas, a stunning selection of works by famed Impressionist Edgar Degas of his most celebrated subject matter: ballerinas. Jan Toorop, a Dutch-Indonesian 19th-20th century painter, is a new artist we are excited to bring to the app with his eponymously named gallery that is an  eclectic mix of artwork in the style of Art Nouveau, Pointillism, and Symbolism. Kitagawa Utamaro (1753–1806), one of the most distinguished Japanese artists known for ukiyo-e woodblock prints and paintings, is another legendary artist now featured in our collection. Enjoy unique still-life paintings created in the 17th century by lesser-known Flemish artist Cornelis Norbertus Gijsbrechts in Cornelis Norbertus Gijsbrechts. And finally, Mary Cassatt is a beautiful gallery comprised of figure compositions by Mary Cassatt (1844-1926), the only American artist associated with the Impressionist movement.

Follow @Artcast_TV on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates. The Artcast app is available to download on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Samsung TVs which you can learn more about HERE.
