NEWS: Artcast On Samsung TV
We’ve been working on this for a very long time and couldn’t be more pleased to announce: Artcast for Samsung TV has arrived!
A native Artcast app for Samsung TVs is finally available which means it just became a lot easier for a lot of people to stream breathtaking art on their TVs. As the world’s largest TV manufacturer, we are extremely excited to share our vast collection of art with even more eyes around the world.
As with any new tech launch, there are still some small details being worked out, but overall it’s been a huge success so far with overwhelmingly positive feedback from our new subscribers. We offer a 7-day free trial and the subscription rate is $2.99/month for unlimited access to over 500 galleries and 75,000 works of art which can be cancelled or restarted at any time.
There are a few new features available to Samsung subscribers that are not yet available on the other apps (but are in the process of being carried over) and those are Frames and Custom Artcasts. You can now add a variety of matting to your works of art for a more “framed” look and design your own custom “Artcasts” comprised of your favorite pieces of art from different galleries.
This is a big launch for us and we want to ensure all potential subscribers that we are available to help in any way we can to get you streaming as soon as possible. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions related to getting Artcast on a Samsung TV:
How can I find Artcast on my Samsung TV?
Artcast can be found by searching for “artcast” in the Samsung App Store on a Samsung Smart TV. Note that we are only supported by Samsung TVs with a Tizen operating system, so if you are unable to find the app when searching, odds are that your TV is an older model without Tizen and unfortunately does not the support the app. The good news is that you can still find us through an external streaming device such as Apple TV, Roku or Amazon Fire TV which you can read more about here: www.artcast.tv/stream
I have a Samsung Smart TV and found the Artcast app, but I get an error message saying it doesn’t support my TV. Why?
Since the Artcast app has just gone live on the Samsung platform, we are still navigating the usual “first few weeks” of bugs, which are mainly due to Samsung having dozens of different TV models and each one with a slightly different code base. Please email us at info@artcast.tv with your TV model information and we will do our best to work with Samsung on making sure we can get it supported on yours.
I found the Artcast app, downloaded it and subscribed, but it doesn’t seem to be working. It appears to be loading on a black screen but nothing happens. What should I do?
As mentioned before, we are still working out some small bug issues related to coding for dozens of different models. If you are experiencing this issue, please email us right away at info@artcast.tv with your TV model information and we will forward it on to our developers and Samsung to resolve.
I downloaded the Artcast app on the Samsung app store, went to your website and entered my email and the 5 digit code. I did not receive an email to activate my account/the activation link is not working. What should I do?
First, check your Spam folder to make sure it did not go in there. If you are trying to access the link through your phone, please try instead through a desktop or laptop computer. If neither of these solutions work for you, please email us at info@artcast.tv and we will try to re-generate a new link for you right away.
I subscribe to Artcast on my Apple TV/Roku/Amazon FireTV. Can I use the same subscription on the Samsung app?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the payment requirements across the various platforms (which is entirely out of our hands), a subscription on one platform/streaming device cannot be used on a different platform/streaming device. If you’d prefer to subscribe to Artcast through your Samsung Smart TV instead through an external streaming device, you will have to cancel your subscription on whichever streaming device you are currently using Artcast on and create a brand new subscription through Samsung. The main benefit for doing this now is a free 7-day trial and early access to the new Frame and Custom Artcasts features.
I tried the Artcast app, but am not interested in continuing on with a subscription. How can I cancel?
We will be sad to longer have you as a part of the community, but understand! To cancel your subscription, please go to “Manage Subscription” in the Artcast Settings menu and click on “Manage Subscription”. Through there a link will be sent to complete the process. Alternately, you can visit www.artcast.tv/subscriptions, log in to your account and cancel. Please keep in mind you are able to re-subscribe at any time and again only at a month-to-month commitment.
We hope you love your experience with the Artcast app and if you have any other questions related to downloading and subscribing through your Samsung TV that were not answered above, please feel free to leave a comment below or email us at info@artcast.tv.

March 22, 2021 at 6:40 pmHello Herbert,
We have fixed quite a few bugs over the past month – are you able to try again and see if you are still having the same issue? We had word from them some days ago that all should be resolved.

February 4, 2021 at 12:34 pmHow do I lengthen the time each work of art is displayed on my Samsung TV?

February 4, 2021 at 3:26 pmHello Walter, thank you for subscribing to Artcast! In order to change the amount of time each work of art is displayed, you must go into the Settings menu at the bottom of the Home Screen and find “Set Image Duration”. From there you will have more than half a dozen options to select from 30 seconds to 30 minutes or Infinite.

March 21, 2021 at 1:36 pmLove the service, but on Samsung QN65TU700D the display duration resets from my selected 30 minutes to a default 30 seconds when leaving and then reentering. Frames and captions selections are ok – only the duration changes. Advice?

June 10, 2021 at 4:23 pmI have ArtCast running on my new Samsung TV, however the frames have issues. The top and bottom are thin, the left and right are double the width. Looks really stupid. How can I adjust the frames around the pictures so the bezel is even on each side….like framed pictures are. HELP!!!!

August 5, 2022 at 2:38 pmHello Doug,
Thank you for your interest in Artcast and sorry to hear you were having trouble finding the app in Samsung’s App Store. Did you try searching “Artcast” as one word? We haven’t heard of this issue yet, but we will file a ticket with Samsung to make sure any potential issue with this particular model is resolved.
