“Graffiti helps you live” (Video)
As a part of our effort to get to know our earth neighbors better, we came across this video which tells of the emerging street art community in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. San Pedro Sula run by gang violence, but local artists are taking back the streets, uniting communities, and empowering the youth through street art. Two of San Pedro Sula’s first street artists, Maeztro Urbano and Rei Blinky, are dedicated to bringing art into their city and creating positive spaces for young people to express themselves non-violently.
“Through art we focus on what we can do, as young people, to change the country’s reality. Graffiti makes you change. Graffiti makes you think. Graffiti helps you live.” -Rei Blinky
